Brazilian woman dies after car rolls over in Portugal

According to reports, the woman was found naked, unconscious and in cardiorespiratory arrest inside the vehicle. Emergency crews attempted to revive her, but she died at the scene.

The driver, a 26-year-old Portuguese man, got out of the car with minor injuries and left the scene on foot, without providing assistance to the victim.

According to the Portuguese press, after the accident, the driver went to a police station accompanied by a lawyer. He assumed responsibility for driving the vehicle and was notified to appear at the traffic authority headquarters to give a statement.

The Portuguese police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. Three witnesses were identified, and one of them witnessed the rollover. The other two saw the driver leave the scene.

According to Portuguese media outlets, the woman had left home, in the Ramada region, saying she was going to buy cigarettes. A short time later, she was found inside the overturned car.

The police also collected images from security cameras from nearby establishments, and an examination of the vehicle should help reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.

The identities of the victim and driver were not released by authorities. g1 contacted the Public Security Police (PSP), but received no response until the last update of this report.
