Prince Khaled bin Salman, Saudi Minister of Defense, discussed with Abdel Latif Loudiy, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of managing the Moroccan National Defense, ways to enhance paths of defense cooperation between the two countries, in order to achieve the aspirations of their leaderships.
During a phone call made by Prince Khalid bin Salman with Minister Abdel Latif Loudiyi, on Monday, the two sides reviewed the joint efforts of Riyadh and Rabat to support the security and stability of the region in light of its current developments.
The Moroccan King, King Mohammed VI, expressed in two telegrams to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, his denunciation of the repeated Houthi terrorist attacks on Saudi Arabia.
King Mohammed VI stressed that “any attack on Saudi Arabia is an attack on Morocco; Because we consider the victory for our brothers in the Kingdom and in the sister Arab Gulf states to be a victory for truth and legitimacy, and defending their higher interests is defending our common strategic interests.
The King of Morocco stressed that Morocco will always stand alongside Saudi Arabia “in confronting the dangers facing it as a result of the terrorist and separatist militias and the regional powers behind them targeting the security of its neighbors and its regional sphere.”
He added that this militia “aims with a short and destructive vision to undermine the security of the entire region, undermine the stability that its countries enjoy, and threaten vital sea lanes, which are of utmost importance to the global economy and the security of international maritime navigation.”
The Bahraini Cabinet condemned, on Monday, the continuation of the terrorist Houthi militia, supported by Iran, in its sinful and deliberate attacks against Saudi Arabia, considering it a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a threat to regional security and stability.
During his session chaired by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, at Al-Qusaibia Palace, he stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is the security of Bahrain, stressing support for all Riyadh’s measures to preserve its sovereignty, security and stability and protect its citizens and residents of the country’s lands.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council followed up on the implementation of the directives of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and ordered the Crown Prince to compensate citizens as a result of the sinful Iranian attacks on Bahrain that resulted in the damage of several homes and vehicles, appreciating the efforts of the concerned authorities to repair the damaged homes and provide compensation.
He expressed his pride in the sincere efforts made by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad, King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energies, and all the employees of the group, and the competence, ability and national responsibility they have demonstrated in maintaining the continuity of operations and the efficiency of the energy system and its supplies during the period of confronting the sinful Iranian attacks.
The Council appreciated the efforts of Alba’s cadres and their keenness to maintain production continuity, in a way that preserves its position in the international industrial system, and its contribution to global aluminum production during the period of confronting Iran’s attacks, stressing that the two companies’ team presented an honorable model of the unifying national spirit that reflects the resolve and determination of all the people of the country to overcome challenges and achieve its good and development.
He also referred to the joint meeting held by the executive and legislative authorities, on the ongoing national efforts to confront the repercussions of the Iranian aggression, the procedures of the official agencies and institutions and various sectors to contain the effects of the repercussions in all fields, the national readiness to deal with crises, the speed of the national response and the sustainability of services.
