Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway reached 99.3% progress, the Ministry of Construction requested completion of construction and acceptance for operation in September.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway has reached more than 99% of its volume, and was required by the Ministry of Construction to complete construction and acceptance to put the entire route into operation in September.

At the field survey of many items on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh highway, including Phuoc Khanh bridge and the intersection area of Highway 51 on September 5, Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha asked the investor and contractor to maximize human resources and equipment to complete the remaining work.

Mr. Ha also requested the Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Corporation (VEC) to complete documents and acceptance procedures so that the State Inspection Council for acceptance of construction works will organize an inspection in September, as a basis for putting the entire route into operation.

According to VEC, the project is currently at about 99.3% volume. The large room project has been completed, only package J3-1 remains to construct the remaining part of Phuoc Khanh bridge and package XL-NG51 completes the intersection of Highway 51.

Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha also noted that the investor continues to monitor Binh Khanh and Phuoc Khanh bridges, deploy necessary technical solutions, ensure safety and comply with regulations before accepting and putting the project into use.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway is 57.8 km long, the connecting point of Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway is in Tay Ninh, the end point is at the intersection of National Highway 51 in Dong Nai, about 16 km from Long Thanh airport.

The route passes through Tay Ninh 2.7 km, Ho Chi Minh City 26.4 km and Dong Nai 28.7 km, invested with 4 motor vehicle lanes, two emergency stop lanes, design speed of 100 km/h.

Currently, nearly 30 km have been temporarily exploited, including the section from the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway to the Nguyen Van Tao intersection and the section from the Phuoc An intersection to Highway 51.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh is a highway connecting the Western region with the east of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai without having to go through the inner city area. When completed, the route will connect Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressways and National Highway 51, shortening the journey from the West to Dong Nai, the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area and Long Thanh airport.
