In Minas Gerais, the municipal HDI was 0.809 in 2024, above the national average of 0.805, but there is a large internal disparity: household income per person in Nova Lima was more than seven times greater than in Monte Formoso. IBGE data show that 4.4 million Minas Gerais people had some degree of food insecurity in 2024, and the housing deficit reached 506,419 homes. Families in occupations such as Guarani Kaiowá in Contagem face precarious housing and difficulties in accessing food and construction materials. Experts point out that the improvement in general indicators does not reflect uniform advances in all regions, with 12% of the population of the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte in poverty and 2% in extreme poverty, in addition to more than 300 thousand people living in slums in Belo Horizonte. The housing deficit is mainly driven by the high weight of rent on income, accounting for 386,025 cases. These challenges of social inequality, housing and food are highlighted as priorities for the next state government in 2027.

A joint effort promoted by the Regional Superintendency of Labor and Employment and Sine do Acre took place this Monday (21) at the Memorial dos Autonomistas, in Rio Branco, aiming to increase the employability of people with disabilities. The event, commemorating the National Day for the Fight of People with Disabilities, featured the participation of law student José Armando, who is looking for an opportunity in the job market, and addressed topics such as accessibility, combating harassment and benefits such as BPC and inclusion aid.

People with disabilities protested in front of Teresina City Hall on the National Day of Struggle for People with Disabilities, demanding improvements in Efficient Transport. Strans informed that the service is being reformulated and that six new vans will be purchased. Around 400 people are registered, but only five of the nine vehicles circulate daily. Protesters reported difficulties scheduling and maintenance problems.
A housing protest causes interruptions in the circulation of trains on CPTM Line 12-Safira in São Paulo, affecting passenger transport in the region.

Women from the quilombola communities of Rasa, São Jacinto and Botafogo participated in the Somos Divas na Luz do Candeeiro project, developed by the Carlos Scliar Institute in partnership with Prolagos, with weekly pottery workshops that promoted technical learning, coexistence, strengthening bonds and autonomy, as well as benefits for mental health.

The City Hall only authorizes cleaning and maintenance services in municipal cemeteries until November 1st, suspending works such as construction and painting, to prepare the spaces for All Souls' Day, with the expectation of 20 thousand visitors at the São João Batista Cemetery and 8 thousand at the Campal Cemetery.
