Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova said that the initiators of cyber aggression against elections in the Russian Federation “received a big blow to the forehead.”

Pamfilova emphasized that the CEC is ready to repel further attempts at cyber attacks and has worked out the necessary mechanisms for holding elections.

Voting for the election of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation will take place over three days - from September 18 to 20.

“We understand that such a large-scale aggression was planned, cyber aggression, with the goal of compromising it all in the public space. It failed. I think they got hit hard on the forehead,” Pamfilova said, giving a report on the readiness of the electoral system for the upcoming elections.

Pamfilova also emphasized that the Central Election Commission is ready to repel further such “attempts” and has worked out all the necessary mechanisms so that no one prevents Russia from holding elections as it sees fit.
