CDU member expresses inhumane slogans against Muslims

Misanthropic statements made by a Krefeld CDU member about Muslims caused horror in the party. “Now we gas the Muslims,” a 23-year-old Christian Democrat suggested in a video shared on TikTok. The “Rheinische Post” first reported on it.

The state party expressed its shock. “We strongly condemn the disgusting and inhumane statements made by a member,” said a spokesman. “It is correct that the locally responsible division of the CDU reported the matter to the public prosecutor and took the necessary steps to exclude the person.” The local CDU will be accompanied by the state office in Düsseldorf.

“I do what I want”

In his video, the man announces: "When I'm high up, I'll deport them all. Actually, I'd rather have them killed. Gassed or something." Addressing an interlocutor, he says: "We used to gas the Jews. And now we're gassing the Muslims. What do you think of that?" When the person he spoke to replied that he couldn't comment on that, the 23-year-old added: "I can do it. It doesn't matter. I'll do what I want."

In a statement from the CDU Krefeld about the incident, it was said that the statements heard in the video by a member of the CDU Krefeld were inhumane in every respect and were in blatant contradiction to the basic values of the Christian Democratic Union.

CDU is shocked

“We are shocked and take the allegations very seriously,” said CDU district chairman Christopher Schiffer. “Immediately after an influencer pointed out the video, we sharply distanced ourselves from the member’s statements on social media.”

The party also announced that it had filed a criminal complaint with the police and was cooperating fully with the investigative authorities to clarify the matter. Furthermore, all necessary party legal steps to exclude the member will be initiated during the course of the day.
