The Chairman of the National Assembly requested Vietnamese experts in Korea to increase the transfer of knowledge and experience in developing, mastering and commercializing technology.

On the afternoon of September 6 in Seoul, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man worked with the Network of Vietnamese Innovation and Experts in Korea (VINK). The event is within the framework of the visit to Korea at the invitation of President of the Korean National Assembly Cho Jeong-sik and his wife.

VINK is part of the Vietnamese Innovation and Experts Network, established in 2019, to concretize the policy of attracting and appreciating talents, promoting Vietnamese intellectual resources globally to serve the country's development.

Over the past years, Vietnamese experts in Korea have connected innovation resources between the two countries in strategic technology fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics, UAVs, clean energy and smart cities.

The network also implements a startup ecosystem exchange program, supporting students, researchers, young entrepreneurs and Vietnamese startups to access the Korean market, technology and innovation ecosystem.

At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that VINK become an intellectual and technological bridge between Vietnam and Korea; Gathering excellent experts, forming expert groups in each strategic technology field.

The Chairman of the National Assembly wants Vietnamese experts in Korea to increase sharing and transfer of international knowledge and experience, especially Korea's experience in developing, mastering and commercializing technology.

The network also needs to coordinate with domestic agencies to clearly identify priority areas, issues to be resolved and specific resource needs; promote the role of leading experts, general engineers, chief architects and experienced managers in this process.

Before the sharing of the head of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Phuoc, Chairman of VINK, said that the Vietnamese Innovation and Expert Network in Korea will gather experts, intellectuals and businessmen, bringing knowledge, technology and international experience to contribute to the country's development process.

After 6 years of development, the Vietnam Network of Innovation and Experts now has 15 member organizations in 22 countries and territories. Including 10 overseas networks and 5 networks in strategic technology industries, bringing together more than 2,000 experts, intellectuals, scientists, businessmen, engineers, general engineers, chief architects and senior managers.

According to Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), the unit is shifting from "connecting resources" to "organizing resources", forming expert groups, cooperation programs and specific projects to solve practical problems of the country.
