Ciro Gomes proposes Iprede unit in all health regions in Ceará and joint effort for development reports

On this Tuesday's agenda, the toucan met with entities representing atypical families and neurodivergent children, in Fortaleza, and commented on proposals for assistance to atypical people and their families.

Tucano's plan is to install an "Iprede unit" in each of the state's health regions. There are currently five health macro-regions in the state: Fortaleza and metropolitan region; Northern Region; Central Sertão; East Coast/Vale do Jaguaribe and Cariri.

"I want to establish, within the limits of my government, an Iprede unit with this standard in all health regions. The institutional question is whether they will be linked to polyclinics or not, but this is one of the specializations that we are dealing with with people who understand the subject best", he added.

The candidate once again promised that he will carry out a joint effort within 90 days of management to deliver reports proving developmental disorders and guarantee support from the State in obtaining benefits such as the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC), granted by the Federal Government.

"We are going to do a split, a joint effort, because there are different hierarchies of severity in the matter. We are going to try to classify them to put at the front of this joint effort those that are more seriously urgent than the others that are very urgent. Step two is to provide absolutely institutional and overt support from the State so that this report is respected by the INSS", he pointed out.

Ciro Gomes also criticized the management models in the areas of health and culture used in the government of Elmano de Freitas (PT). In the first area, the toucan defended "standardizing" the public health management format in Ceará and said that he will put an end to "political patronage" in the choices of state hospital managers.

In culture, Ciro pointed out that there is a "privatization" of the sector with management through social organizations. The candidate promised to manage the sector directly through the State Department of Culture.

"If there is a sector where privatization does a lot of harm, it is in the culture sector. Why? Because there is the choice of patronage. Which artist will be supported and which artist will not be supported. This will end in my government. Everything will return to being absolutely the Secretary of State for Culture", he guaranteed.
