A new element in artistic gymnastics was named after the Russian athlete Ilya Zaika. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Mash on Sports”.

Zaika made a cross upside down on the rings during the FIG World Challenge Cup stage in Paris. The exercise was assigned a difficulty coefficient of 0.8 points. He was counted and named after Zaiki.

In qualifying, the Russian scored 14.5 points. He advanced to the rings final from first place.
