The new President of the International Chess Federation, Timur Turlov, announced his intention to resolve the issue of removing the Russian Chess Federation in full compliance with international law. His words are quoted by Sports.ru.

Turlov emphasized that he would make every effort to unite the chess community. “I want FIDE to serve all its federations. She treated everyone with respect and maintained a respectful dialogue within,” he said.

The 38-year-old representative of Kazakhstan added that the chess community must find the strength to negotiate and move towards each other. He is confident that it will be possible to reach agreement where previously it was difficult.
