Naval Forces Passed the Bosphorus on the Anniversary of the Preveza Naval Victory

A cortege of 13 ships and 2 submarines belonging to the Naval Forces passed through the Bosphorus. Turkey's first national frigate, TCG Istanbul, was the first in the line of ships passing off the coast of the Barbaros Monument in Beşiktaş. The soldiers on the ship saluted towards Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Tomb during the passage. TCG Savarona, TCG Oruçreis, TCG Salihreis, TCG Heybeliada, TCG Büyükada, TCG Kalkan, TCG Mızrak, TCG Rüzgar, TCG Karayel, TCG Akçay, TCG Enez, TCG Işın ships also took part in the cortege. TCG Doğanay and TCG 18 Mart submarines also accompanied the cortege. Citizens on the beach followed the event with great interest and took souvenir photos.
