Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan made statements regarding the week of the 81st United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Minister Fidan said that President Erdoğan held 16 bilateral meetings. He stated that President Erdoğan's address to the General Assembly was in the nature of a manifesto revealing Türkiye's global vision.

Fidan said, "Our President once again brought the tragedy of the Palestinian people to the attention of the world in all its nakedness. He strongly stated that what happened in Gaza is an issue that tests the common conscience of humanity and the reliability of the international system. They reiterated the call for the recognition of the Palestinian state. We brought up Israel's genocide policies, annexation and occupation activities in the meetings we attended as the Turkish delegation.
