Sarallar and Şahinler families came together at MHP Headquarters

A photo was shared from the meeting, which was stated to have been held in Ankara to end the long-standing hostility between the Sarallar and Şahinler groups.

In the post made on MHP's social media account, the following expressions were used: "Two precious families of our country, Sarallar and Şahinler families, came together with our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, at our headquarters with a historical embrace and meeting."

WHAT HAPPENED?

It had previously been brought to the agenda that a meeting would be held in Ankara to end the long-standing hostility between the groups known as Sarals and Şahins.

Journalist Nevzat Çiçek, in his post on his social media account, claimed that the two groups would meet in Ankara on September 26, and based his post on the sources he spoke with, stated that the meeting would be held under the leadership of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. Çiçek stated that both sides were ready to meet and make peace.

Before the meeting, Saral family organized a dinner meeting in Trabzon's Sürmene district, attended by approximately 4 thousand people.

In addition to Alaaddin Saral, one of the leading names of the Sarals, Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral and Mayor of Of Salim Salih Sarıalioğlu attended the event in the garden of the Historical Baştımar Family Museum.

Oktay Saral emphasized unity, solidarity and brotherhood in his post on his X account after the meeting. Saral stated that we should unite around the goal of "Terror-Free Türkiye" and act with an understanding that "unifies rather than divides, and fosters brotherhood rather than conflict".

The name Sarallar and Şahinler has been on the agenda with organized crime investigations and cases for many years. In the past years, lawsuits were filed against some people associated with the Sarallar structure on various charges such as establishing, managing and membership in a criminal organization, armed threats, plunder and attempted intentional murder; Conviction decisions were given in some cases.

People affiliated with the group known as the Şahins have also been the subject of judicial proceedings in various organized crime and armed attack investigations.
