The mother of FEST theater make-up artist Evgenia Bengraf, who did not survive the quarrel with her husband, Olga Suchkova asks to reclassify her daughter’s case as self-defense. RIA Novosti reports this.

On the night of April 19, the bodies of spouses Evgenia and Vladislav Bengraf were found in the apartment with multiple stab wounds. Before this, neighbors heard screams and sounds of struggle. According to investigators, they dealt with each other during the conflict.

According to the girl’s mother, her daughter was charged with premeditated and premeditated violence, but the girl did not have such a plan - she defended herself. “They locked her up, started beating her, and then cutting her,” says Suchkova.

As it became known from the case materials, since January 2026, a conflict had been brewing between the spouses Evgenia and Vladislav Bengraf, and in the spring the woman decided to divorce. The reason was the husband's inability to provide for the family, his emotional instability and jealousy. On the day of the tragedy, the woman sent her husband a message about divorce.

Vladislav’s mother also announced her intention to restore her son’s honorable name.
