This general election involves 16 districts and nearly 180 towns in the city, and will directly elect nearly 4,900 district people's congress deputies and more than 10,000 township people's congress deputies.

Since early June, all districts in Beijing have established district and township election committees in accordance with the law, organized and established electoral work institutions, carried out deployment and mobilization, carried out constituency division, representative quota allocation and other work in accordance with the law, and conducted laws, regulations and election business knowledge training for election staff. The city has established more than 2,400 constituencies for electing district people's congress deputies and more than 5,400 constituencies for township people's congress deputies.
