The opening ceremony of the 9th Shandong Province-Korea Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange Conference was held

China News Service, Yantai, November 6 (Reporter Wang Jiaoni) The ninth Shandong-South Korea Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange Conference held an opening ceremony in Yantai, Shandong on the 6th. More than 300 Chinese and Korean guests attended the meeting. At the meeting, Shandong Province and South Korea signed 23 cooperation projects, involving a total amount of approximately US$210 million.

Among the signed projects, there are 9 strategic cooperation agreement projects, 9 trade projects, and 5 investment projects, involving medical beauty, food, new materials, new generation information technology, biomedicine, medical health, cross-border e-commerce, logistics, high-end equipment and other fields.

At the opening ceremony, Yantai City proposed to deepen cooperation with South Korea in the fields of green and low-carbon, green chemicals, biomedicine, and consumer markets; the head of South Korea's CJ Group introduced the company's investment in China; Weihai City put forward ideas for deepening economic and trade cooperation with South Korea by leveraging the advantages of the "four-port linkage"; Hisense Group introduced its future development plan in the field of artificial intelligence.

Shandong Province faces South Korea across the sea and is the "bridgehead" for economic and trade exchanges between China and South Korea. During this exchange meeting, more than 150 companies from both sides will participate, and they will carry out project docking in areas such as trade and investment.

Yantai City, where the event is held, has established sister-city relationships with eight cities in South Korea, and has introduced more than 4,000 Korean-funded projects invested by Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Heavy Industries, SK, Atomy and other companies.

On the same day, guests attending the meeting jointly launched a series of supporting activities for the "Yantai Korea Week", including 8 parallel activities and a series of park inspection activities, including exchanges and dialogues between mayors of sister cities, science and technology docking between China and South Korea, youth football friendly matches, promotion of cultural tourism resources, innovation and entrepreneurship exchanges between China and South Korea youth, and a series of park inspection activities, building a multi-level and three-dimensional dialogue and docking platform.
