Alishan Forest Tea Party debuts, tourists stroll through the foggy forest and sip winter tea

The Chiayi Branch of the Forestry and Conservation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture held the "2026 Alishan Style Season" winter finale event "Winter Forest Tea Party" at the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area today (7th). There were one morning and one afternoon session with 40 people each. It led tourists into the mountain forest in the early winter and spent a quiet and delicate early winter time in the forest mist.

The Forest Mountain Tea Party starts from the Water Mountain Classroom on the Water Mountain Healing Trail. Under the leadership of the commentators of the Alishan Ecotourism Association, you can observe the shapes and textures of alpine plants up close and listen to the subtle changes in the winter forest. Participants said that it is a rare opportunity to calm down, look at a leaf carefully, and listen to the wind. This walk in the forest has become the most meditative ritual before taking a seat.

Then walk to the "No. 1 Staff Boarding House", a Japanese-style wooden building with historical heritage, and experience the creation of "Natural Ink Blossom Style Tea Poster". The dead branches, fruits and grass bundles that naturally fell in the mountains and forests were used as natural brush marks at the scene. Through the ink transfer of points, lines and surfaces, the texture of the earth was transferred to the paper. Each participant completed a unique style of tea invitation and brought it to the table, adding a sense of humanistic ritual to the tea tasting time.

At the end, a professional tea master held the pot performance, and participants tasted Alishan's high-quality tea, felt the sweet flavor nurtured by the clouds, and re-experienced the beauty of Alishan's fog forest through sight, touch, smell and taste. The atmosphere at the venue was peaceful and warm, and visitors were still lingering among the wooden buildings and tea banquets after the event, feeling unsatisfied.

The Chiayi Branch stated that the "2026 Alishan Style Season" is an event centered on the four seasons, inviting the public to understand Alishan in different ways. This year's winter finale, the "Winter Forest Tea Party" combines forest ecological tours, natural creations and local tea culture, allowing the public to have a deeper understanding of Alishan.
