Emel could not be saved... They murdered another woman

40-year-old Emel Bozkuş, who was shot with a rifle by 45-year-old Salih S., with whom she lived in Aydın's Incirliova district, died in the hospital where she was taken. Salih S., who escaped after the incident, was caught in the olive grove where he was hiding with a drone-supported operation.

The incident in Aydın took place around 09:00 yesterday, in a house on Mimar Sinan Street in Hürriyet District of İncirliova district.

An argument broke out between Salih S. (45) and Emel Bozkuş (40), with whom he lived, for an unknown reason.

The discussion quickly turned into a fight. Salih S. opened fire on Bozkuş with a rifle and ran away. Emel Bozkuş, who was hit by pellets in various parts of her body, was left on the ground covered in blood.

Upon notice, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Emel Bozkuş, who was seriously injured, was taken to Aydın City Hospital after the intervention of medical teams.

Police teams followed the vehicle of Salih S., who escaped. After a while, Salih S. got out of the vehicle, entered the olive grove on foot with the rifle in his hand and hid.

Public order teams, Special Operations police and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) teams were dispatched to the scene. Salih S. was captured yesterday in a drone-supported operation. Salih S., who was taken into custody, was referred to Aydın Courthouse.

Emel Bozkuş, who was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, died this morning. The investigation into the incident continues.
