4 police officers were arrested in Erzurum-based investigation

The procedures for 5 of the 11 suspects who were detained in the 6th wave operation within the scope of the investigation carried out under the coordination of the police in line with the instructions of the Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have been completed.

The suspects were brought to Erzurum Courthouse after a health check.

Following their statements at the prosecutor's office, the suspects were police officers Gökcan M, Ahmet B, Osman Nuri G. and Hüseyin Ü. arrest, B.K. was referred to the judgeship with the request for judicial control measures.

The judgeship, complying with the request of the prosecutor's office, decided to arrest the 4 suspects and release B.K. under judicial control.

Thus, the number of detainees in the investigation carried out by the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices increased to 36. Procedures for the other 6 suspects are ongoing.

Within the scope of the investigation, a simultaneous 6th wave operation was organized in 7 provinces, and detention, search and seizure procedures were initiated against 11 suspects, including retired and serving police officers, on the grounds that evidence was obscured and the investigation process was interfered with.
