4 arrests in Gülistan Doku investigation

In the investigation carried out regarding university student Gülistan Doku, who has not been heard from since January 5, 2020 in Tunceli, 4 of the 5 suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested, and 1 was released on condition of judicial control.

There has been a new development in the investigation into Gülistan Doku, a university student in Tunceli who has not been heard from since January 5, 2020. While 4 of the 5 suspects who were detained and referred to the courthouse in the 6th wave operation of the investigation were arrested, 1 suspect was released on condition of judicial control.

The police procedures for 5 of the 11 suspects who were detained in the 6th wave operation carried out within the scope of the investigation carried out under the coordination of the police in line with the instructions of the Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have been completed.

The suspects were brought to Erzurum Courthouse after a health check.

4 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

Following their statements at the prosecutor's office, police officers Gökcan M., Ahmet B., Osman Nuri G. and Hüseyin Ü. arrest, B.K. was referred to the judgeship with the request for judicial control measures.

In line with the request of the prosecutor's office, the judgeship decided to arrest Gökcan M., Ahmet B., Osman Nuri G. and Hüseyin Ü., and to release B.K. on condition of judicial control.

With the latest arrests, the number of detainees within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices has increased to 36. It was reported that the procedures for the other 6 suspects in custody are continuing.

AN OPERATION WAS HELD SIMULTANEOUSLY IN 7 PROVINCES

Within the scope of the investigation, a 6th wave operation was organized simultaneously in 7 provinces.

Within the scope of allegations that evidence was obscured and the investigation process was interfered with, detention, search and seizure proceedings were initiated against 11 suspects, including retired and serving police officers.
