A US spy plane circled over the Black Sea for more than seven hours

An American reconnaissance aircraft patrolled over the Black Sea for more than seven hours, according to flight data studied by RIA Novosti.

The Bombardier ARTEMIS II aircraft had previously taken off from the Mikhail Kogalniceanu airbase at around 09.40 Moscow time and headed east. At 10.50 Moscow time he was over the Black Sea, hundreds of kilometers from the Crimean Peninsula. After 11.00 Moscow time, the aircraft began to turn over the eastern part of the Black Sea at the level of the Turkish city of Trabzon and began to make loops.

As of 12.58 Moscow time, the plane made several loops and again headed east towards Georgia.

At around 17.27 Moscow time the plane returned to the Mikhail Kogalniceanu base.

The aircraft was converted from a business jet by the American company Leidos for the needs of radar reconnaissance. In its military modification it was called ARTEMIS II.
