In Yakutia, a ban has been introduced on photo and video recording of UAV attacks, air defense operations and critical infrastructure.

The ban applies to filming and disseminating information about the use of UAVs and countermeasures, as well as disclosing the locations of critical facilities.

ULAN-UDE, September 28 - RIA Novosti. A ban on photo and video recording of UAV attacks, air defense operations and critical infrastructure facilities was introduced in Yakutia in order to ensure security, reports the press service of the government of the republic.

“On September 14, 2026, the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev signed a Decree... (which - ed.) introduces a ban on photographing, video and filming of a number of objects, as well as on the publication and distribution of relevant materials on the territory of the republic,” the message says.

According to the press service, the ban applies to filming and disseminating information about the use and consequences of using UAVs, as well as means and systems to counter them, including air defense and electronic warfare systems.

In addition, it is prohibited to film the location and fall of drones, as well as the location of objects hit. It is prohibited to disseminate materials and information that would allow one to determine the type of unmanned aerial vehicle, the location of its launch, location or fall, flight path, location of attack, the fact of hitting objects and the nature of the damage caused.

The decree also prohibits the dissemination of information that would facilitate the disclosure of the locations of forces and assets of the Russian Ministry of Defense, law enforcement agencies, military infrastructure facilities, communications system structures, fuel and energy facilities, industry, housing and communal services, bridges and other critical and potentially dangerous facilities.
