Heavy Penalties Given to Two Nurses in Hospital Incident in Gaziantep

The incident took place in a private hospital in Gaziantep. Allegedly, Abdurrezzak Baysal (27), who was hospitalized 3 years ago due to a traffic accident, was treated with consciousness.

HE WAS INJURED IN HIS KNEE AND WAS SET PLATINUM

It was stated that Baysal, who was injured only in his knee and had a platinum inserted in his foot, was in good general health. The patient, who was followed up in the intensive care unit, was regularly visited by his relatives.

AFTER THE DISCUSSION, A MUSCLE RELAXANT WAS INJECTED

However, the patient died as a result of being injected with a drug belonging to another patient, which was claimed to be a muscle relaxant, after an argument with a nurse. Witnesses heard in previous hearings claimed that Baysal died after being injected with a syringe.

THE DECISION HEARING WAS HELD

The victim's family and the victim's lawyers attended the hearing held at Gaziantep 3rd High Criminal Court. The victim's family demanded that the criminals receive the harshest punishment.

NURSES WERE PUNISHED

In the prosecutor's opinion, the defendants were requested to be punished for "possible premeditated murder" and an arrest warrant was also requested for the defendants. The court sentenced the defendant nurse Aslı Ersoy to life imprisonment for "possible intentional homicide" and nurse Mustafa Çelik to 25 years in prison for "possible intentional homicide".
