The Suspect Wanted for Theft in Gölbaşı was Caught

During the investigation into the theft of money and jewelery worth approximately 170 thousand liras from a house in Ankara's Gölbaşı district, the female suspect, who was sentenced to 260 years of imprisonment, was caught.

The incident took place in Gölbaşı on September 21, 2026. Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ankara Police Department Public Order Branch Directorate's Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau teams started working.

HE USED A SHEET AND A HAT TO AVOID RECOGNITION

During the investigation of the police teams, it was determined that the suspect, who was learned to be pregnant, came to the scene wearing a chador and a hat in order to avoid being recognized.

It was determined that the suspect entered the door of the house, which was closed without being locked, and stole money and jewelry worth approximately 170 thousand liras.

It was determined that the suspect went to a park after the theft, changed his appearance by changing his clothes, and then fled the area in a commercial taxi.

IT WAS ALSO ASSOCIATED WITH THEFTS IN BOLU AND KASTAMONU

In the police investigation, it was determined that the suspect was involved in two separate thefts in which money and jewelery worth approximately 300 thousand liras were stolen in Bolu in August and approximately 40 thousand liras in Kastamonu in September.

152 CRIME RECORD, 260 YEARS PERFORMANCE IN PRISON

During the interrogation of the suspect, it was determined that he had 152 separate criminal records for theft and that he was sentenced to a total of 260 years in prison.

Police teams caught the suspect on the bus he got on to go from Ankara to Konya. The suspect, who was sent to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court.
