Ship traffic was suspended: It was reopened after the tanker was withdrawn

In the statement made by the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, it was reported that the chemical tanker named "Ivyan", which anchored in front of Kanlıca due to machinery malfunction while traveling from Bulgaria to Italy, was safely anchored at Küçükçekmece Anchorage, under the coordination of Istanbul Ship Traffic Services Center, accompanied by the pilot and the Rescue-7 tugboat.

After the broken tanker was towed, the suspended ship traffic in the Bosphorus was reopened.

The 110-meter-long chemical tanker named "Ivyan", loaded with 6 thousand tons of vegetable oil, sailing from Bulgaria to Italy, anchored in front of Kanlıca due to machinery failure during its passage through the Bosphorus. Upon notice, the Coast Guard and the Rescue 7, Rescue 11 tugboats and Rescue 9 lifesaving boats affiliated with the General Directorate of Coastal Safety were dispatched to the region.
