Germano Proietti is Gregorio Paltrinieri's new coach

Germano Proietti is Gregorio Paltrinieri's new coach. The coach, says the Federnuoto, "will take on the technical leadership of the group of cross-country skiers based at the Federal Center - Swimming Center of Ostia". Romano, born in 1976, replaces Fabrizio Antonelli as coach of the Italian Olympian, who left Paltrinieri in August to go and coach in China. "I am entering a path of excellence that has already been mapped out, with a solid work structure. Training champions of the caliber of Gregorio Paltrinieri and a group that combines athletes of experience and perspective at the federal center in Ostia on a daily basis is a great honor and a responsibility that I take on with profound respect" - the words of Proietti - "I thank the Federnuoto, the president Paolo Barelli, the technical-scientific coordinator Marco Bonifazi and the president of the Gruppo Sportivi delle Fiamme Oro Francesco Montini for his trust. The commitment will be total, to support the path of already established athletes and promote the progressive inclusion of young talents." Proietti's investiture is part of a process of updating the technical sector of the national team which will be guided by a commission made up of the coaches of the relevant athletes; sector coordinator Stefano Rubaudo confirmed to provide logistical and organizational support to the national teams. Proietti, who grew up in the Aurelia swimming club, dedicated himself to cross-country skiing and lifesaving after swimming. After completing his competitive career, he began his career as a technician, and currently holds the role of technical director of the swimming sector of the Fiamme Oro Sports Group of the State Police.
