Google expands access to Google Vids! All users can use Gemini AI to produce 1080p videos for free

Google is becoming more and more generous and announced the expansion of Google Vids. Now, as long as you have a Google account, whether it is an ordinary individual user or a Google Workspace account, you can directly use the latest Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash model to generate 1080p videos for free in Google Vids.

The focus of this opening is not just that "you can generate videos for free", but that Google has further turned Google Vids, which was originally used for work purposes, into an AI video production tool that ordinary people can directly use. Users only need to open Google Vids on the desktop and select "Create AI videos" to start generating videos for free with Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash.

Google said that after Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash is integrated into Google Vids, users can have more detailed control over video content from initial conception to final output.

For example, the generated scene can be extended further while trying to keep the context, lighting, character appearance and environment consistent, without having to regenerate it every time. Users can also directly specify the exact length of video clips, making it easier for the footage to match story rhythm or narration. In terms of image quality, Google Vids supports the direct generation of 1080p Full HD AI videos, and can also upconvert existing AI video clips to 1080p. When put into the same timeline, the overall image quality will look more consistent.

Google also announced that it will add Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite text-to-speech function to Google Vids. Users can directly generate natural voice narration by inputting a script, and will support more than 100 languages.

In addition, all video clips generated through Omni 1.1 in Google Vids will have a SynthID digital watermark invisible to the naked eye embedded in the frame to facilitate identification of whether the content is generated by AI.

Starting now, any user with a Google account or Google Workspace account can log in to Google Vids and use Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash to generate videos for free.

However, Google has not yet announced how many times a free account can be generated. It only states that if a personal account needs more AI video generation quotas, it can upgrade to the Google AI paid plan; as for corporate teams, the Workspace Business and Enterprise plans will provide higher generation quotas and centralized management functions.
