According to the Military Police, the incident was recorded at around 1:50 pm, on Avenida Dante Martins de Oliveira. The woman said she was lying with Antonio when she heard noises at the house's gate. When she checked what was happening, she found her ex-husband outside. He would have jumped the gate and had a hoe. Initially, the woman managed to prevent him from entering the residence.
According to the Military Police, during the conversation, the man questioned his ex-partner about the daughter they have together and stated that he was prevented from seeing her. At one point, the woman went to get the child, while the suspect entered the room where Antonio was.
According to the report, the two began talking, but the argument escalated when the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and threatened the victim. Then, the three went to another room in the house, where the man hit Antonio with several blows. The woman tried to stop the attacks, but was unable to do so. Antonio fell in the kitchen with several injuries. The suspect fled on a motorcycle.
The Fire Department was called, rescued the victim and took him to the municipal hospital. However, during the search for the suspect, the Military Police received information that Antonio had died.
The Military Police carried out searches to locate the suspect, but he had not been found until the incident was registered. The motorcycle that would have been used in the escape was seized and sent to the Civil Police.
The Civil Police and Official Forensic and Technical Identification (Politec) were called to carry out procedures at the scene of the crime.

Protective measures are court orders that seek to protect people who are at risk, danger or vulnerability. There are two types: those aimed at the aggressor, to prevent him from approaching the victim; and those aimed at the victim, to guarantee their safety and the protection of their assets and their family.
