Honda recently held a global new car strategy briefing and released a new Hybrid Sedan Prototype concept prototype, which is generally considered to be the design prototype of the new generation Accord. Japanese media pointed out that the Accord will be the first car to be equipped with the new generation e:HEV system and platform. The appearance will develop towards the style of Fastback and is expected to be released in 2027 to 2028.

According to Japanese media reports, Honda's new generation Accord is already in the pipeline. Its appearance is expected to refer to the Hybrid Sedan Prototype concept prototype, showing the dynamic setting of the Fastback. The front of the car uses new separated LED headlights and a large-area inverted trapezoidal water tank guard as the visual focus, with a three-dimensional and aggressive air intake. The rear of the car is expected to use the current mainstream horizontal LED taillights as a design highlight, paired with a sporty rear bumper.

By then, the new generation Accord will be equipped with a newly developed mid-size car platform, using a modular architecture with a higher sharing rate, which will significantly reduce the cost of building a car based on this platform. At the same time, the weight will also be significantly reduced by 90 kilograms. The original manufacturer pointed out that the new platform further strengthens the rigidity of the body and controls the load of each tire by simulating the deformation of the body when the vehicle turns, achieving better grip.

At the same time, Honda has also introduced cutting-edge technology for the new platform. The attitude control experience accumulated through the self-developed robot is used to adjust the body dynamics, making the dynamic management during driving more stable and comfortable. In terms of power, the Accord is expected to be equipped with the next-generation e:HEV system, which is speculated to be a 2.0-liter engine layout paired with dual electric motors, capable of outputting 195 to 200 horsepower, and the maximum torque will reach 370 Newton meters. It will also be combined with the Honda S+ Shift shifting system to enhance driving pleasure.
