Some Roads Will Be Closed to Traffic in Istanbul Due to the Bicycle Tour

Due to the Green Crescent and 78 Event Bicycle Tour to be held in Istanbul today, some roads in Fatih, Beyoğlu and Beşiktaş will be closed to traffic from 10.00 until the event ends. Drivers need to use alternative routes.

WHAT TIME WILL THE ROADS BE CLOSED IN ISTANBUL ON 13 SEPTEMBER AND WHEN WILL THEY OPEN?

According to the statement made by the Istanbul Police Department, the restrictions will be implemented as of 10:00 on Sunday, September 13. After the bicycle tour is completed and the route is cleared, the closed roads will gradually be reopened to vehicle traffic. Restrictions are expected to intensify especially on the coastline until noon.

Galata Bridge

Sahil Kennedy Street (between Çatlamışkapı and Sirkeci Işıklar)

Reşadiye Street, Ragıp Gümüşpala Street

Abdülezel Paşa Street, Mürselpaşa Street

Kadir Has Street and Yavedut Street

Parliament-i Mebusan Street, Kemeraltı Street

Tershane Street and Necatibey Street

The section of İnönü Street between the MKE Building and Şehitler Hill

Roads and Coast Line to be Closed in Beşiktaş

There will be no traffic flow in Beşiktaş district, especially on the coastline and main connection arteries:

Dolmabahçe Street

Çırağan Street

Besiktas Street

Old Star Street

Barbaros Boulevard (between the Central Command lights)

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES DETERMINED FOR DRIVERS

Alternative routes suggested by the Police in order to avoid inconvenience to drivers who will use the closed lines are as follows:

For Fatih Region: Unkapanı Bridge (Atatürk Bridge), Millet Street, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Paşa Street and Atatürk Boulevard.

For Beyoğlu Region: Tarlabaşı Boulevard, Dereboyu Street, Asker Ocağı Street and Evliya Çelebi Street.
