Rain and storm warning, severe weather conditions are expected in Istanbul

Rain will continue intermittently today in Istanbul. It will intensify again tomorrow and Friday. Due to the strong northerly wind, the temperature is felt at 15-16 degrees.

Istanbul Governorship warned people to be cautious due to heavy rain and storms expected to be effective in the city.

In the statement made on the governor's social media account, it was stated that according to the evaluations of the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms.

It was noted that rainfall is expected to be heavy in the eastern parts of the Anatolian Side, Şile, Pendik and Tuzla, starting from the first hours of the night until noon today.

In the statement, "The wind is expected to blow from the north and northeast in the form of strong winds and storms from tomorrow morning until midnight. One should be careful and cautious against the negative effects that heavy rain and storms may cause." statements were included.

According to the predictions of the General Directorate of Meteorology for the period between 30 September and 6 October, partly and very cloudy weather will be effective throughout the country.

Today, showers and thunderstorms are predicted in the parts of Marmara outside Edirne, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Black Sea and the surroundings of Malatya, Erzincan, Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır, Van, Gaziantep and Kilis.

Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the south and east of Marmara, the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts and Ardahan surroundings, and the Kastamonu coasts and Sinop surroundings in the morning.

Tomorrow, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some parts of Marmara, the Mediterranean, Western and Eastern Black Sea, Central Black Sea coasts, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, and some provinces in the Aegean and Central Anatolia.

It is estimated that rainfall will be heavy in places in the Mediterranean, except for Isparta and Kahramanmaraş, and around Kırklareli, Karaman, Niğde, Erzincan, Tunceli, Elazığ, Bingöl, Muş, Bitlis, Batman and Siirt.

Rain is expected in most parts of Marmara, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia on Friday. Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times in Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, the inner parts of Çanakkale, the north of Balıkesir, Istanbul, Kocaeli and Adana.
