The joint Russian-Pakistani tactical exercise “Friendship-IX-2026” started in the area of ​​the city of Cherat in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Central Military District, Colonel Oleg Stetsyuk, expressed confidence that the joint exercise will strengthen the combat potential and unite the personnel of military contingents to protect states from aggressive attacks.

The commander of the 22nd Special Forces Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Brigadier General Muhammad Imran Aslam, noted that the exercise provides an opportunity to strengthen military cooperation between Pakistan and Russia and exchange experience in the fight against terrorism.

According to Colonel Oleg Stetsyuk, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Central Military District, such joint actions of friendly peoples strengthen the military commonwealth.

“I express confidence that the joint exercise will strengthen the combat potential and unite the personnel of the military contingents to guarantee the protection of our states from any aggressive attacks,” he noted.
