John Carver returns to the Ekstraklasa - he takes over Radomiak after the relegation with Lechia Gdańsk

John Carver is a name familiar to fans of the Polish Premier League. The Englishman appeared on the Vistula in December 2024, when he took over Lechia Gdańsk. In his first season, he managed to keep the team in the elite, but in the next season, the white-and-green team did not avoid relegation to the 1st league.

After the relegation, Carver parted ways with Lechia, but not for long - after four months he returns to the top league to take over Radomiak.

Radomiak cannot find stability on the coaching bench this season. The games started with Tomasz Kaczmarek, who moved to Raków Częstochowa after seven rounds. His place was taken by assistant Rafał Grzyb, but under his leadership the team lost two matches - 0:2 against Piast Gliwice and 1:5 against Lech Poznań.

Grzyb remained on the staff, and the team was also joined by Englishman Adam Sadler, who celebrated the English championship with Leicester City in 2016.

Mission: maintenance

Carver takes over Radomiak, which after nine rounds has only eight points and is 14th in the table. The Englishman faces a difficult task - he must quickly organize the team and start scoring regularly. His debut as Radomiak's coach will take place on Monday, October 12, in a home match against Motor Lublin.
