Animal market was closed in Kırıkkale due to foot and mouth disease

In the statement made by Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was reported that a case of foot and mouth disease was detected in the city.

In order to protect animal health and prevent the spread of the disease, the Animal Health Police Commission decided to temporarily close the Kırıkkale Animal Market.

It was stated that animal movements were also stopped within the scope of the measures taken. In the statement, it was emphasized that it is important to strictly comply with the quarantine and biosecurity measures determined within the scope of combating the disease.

Breeders were also asked to comply with the decisions taken by official authorities and the warnings of veterinarians regarding animal movements and animal purchase and sale.
