Klopp has to do without the injured Ouédraogo in his first nomination

The new national coach Jürgen Klopp will almost certainly have to do without Assan Ouédraogo in his first nomination. The 20-year-old RB Leipzig international had to be substituted after 35 minutes with a shoulder injury in Sunday's 5-0 (2-0) win in the Bundesliga against Hamburger SV.

The mishap happened in a duel with the Dane Albert Grönbäk, and the midfielder may be out for weeks. Klopp wants to announce his first squad for the upcoming international matches in the Nations League on Thursday.

“I do think it’s the same injury,” said Leipzig coach Martin Demichelis. Ouédraogo was out for the whole of August in preparation with a capsule injury in his right shoulder. This apparently broke out again in a duel with a Hamburger SV player. "It doesn't look good," said Demichelis and said of Ouédraogo: "We need him. He is a brutal talent, for Germany and our club."
