The Festival of Humanity: Jean-Luc Mélenchon establishes himself at the heart of the radical left

It is the historic meeting of the radical left. Every year, in September, hundreds of thousands of activists gather for three days at the Fête de l'Humanité, organized by the eponymous newspaper, to attend concerts and political speeches. The French Communist Party (PCF) has always been inseparable from this event. This year again, the aisles of air base 217 in Plessis-Pâté (Essonne) were lined with stands from the local sections of the sickle and hammer party.
