Lavrov and Araghchi stress diplomatic solution only to US-Israel provoked crisis

MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi emphasized that there can be no alternative solution to the crisis, started by the US and Israel, other than a diplomatic one.

The two top diplomats met on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The sides discussed current regional and international issues, with an emphasis on developments surrounding Iran," the ministry said. "They emphasized that there is no alternative to a diplomatic solution to the crisis provoked by the unlawful actions of the United States and Israel."
