Israeli air and artillery attacks in Lebanon continue during the ceasefire process

According to the news of Lebanon's official agency NNA, Israeli planes targeted the Selatin region and the Kantara town around the town of Tebnin.

During the day, Israeli artillery bombarded the central part of the Merceyun Plain in the south, the Ayn al-Samakhiya region between the towns of East Zavtar and Mifedun, the surroundings of the scouting compound in East Zavtar, and the area around the town of Berashit in Bint Jubeil district.

It was recorded that 5 artillery shells fell near the treatment plant in Merceyun Plain.

It was reported that phosphorus ammunition was also used in Israeli artillery attacks around Eastern Zavtar and fires broke out in the region.

Israel's attacks in Lebanon and the ceasefire process

The Israeli army launched intense air strikes on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied dozens of towns in the south of the country.

The Lebanese government announced that the number of people displaced in the country due to the attacks exceeded 1 million.

The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, was later extended several times.

In its latest statement, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that at least 4,386 people had died in Israel's attacks on the country since March 2.

On the other hand, after the 5th round of direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon in Washington, a framework agreement was signed between Lebanon and Israel on June 26.
