A large tree fell on the street in via Carpi, but without causing any injuries. Some cars remained stuck in an underpass in Viale Martesana in Vimodrone (Milan) and firefighters intervened to help the people on board. "The rains were intense until 2.30 am - reported the Civil Protection councilor Marco Granelli - and in 24 hours almost 100 millimeters of rain per square meter fell in the northern part of the city such as in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) and Monza". The Ceas community was evacuated in Lambro Park during the flood. The river levels remain high and under observation because today the weather forecast predicts further rainfall although not particularly violent ones.
