Almina, who was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Muğla, won the 88-day intensive care struggle.

The accident occurred on May 27 in Devetaşı location of Menteşe district. The car, whose driver lost control due to rain, rolled over. 5 people were injured, 1 seriously, in the accident. Almina Çakmak, who was seriously injured, was taken to Muğla Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention of the medical teams.

Almina, who was in serious condition, was taken to the pediatric intensive care unit intubated approximately 20 hours after the accident. Almina, whose chances of survival were evaluated by doctors as 10 percent, was treated here.

HE STAYED IN INTENSIVE CARE FOR 88 DAYS

During Almina's 88 days in intensive care, her heart stopped and she was resuscitated. Almina, who had 3 tubes inserted due to problems in her lungs, also struggled with edema and bleeding in her body. Almina, who had surgery on her left arm and foot, remained on a ventilator for a long time. A tracheostomy was performed to enable him to breathe on his own. Almina, whose health condition improved after 88 days in intensive care, was taken to the pediatric ward after approximately 3.5 months of treatment. Almina, who has been receiving treatment in the ward for about 12 days, cannot speak or walk yet, but she can breathe, eat and drink on her own. Almina's treatment and rehabilitation process continues.
