What did the suspect who murdered 3 people in Dong Nai declare?

Nguyen Duc Anh claimed that after his girlfriend broke up with him, he brought a knife to the house intending to kill her but was unable to break in. Then he climbed into the house next door and attacked four people.

On September 3, the Dong Nai City Police Investigation Agency said it was strictly monitoring Nguyen Duc Anh, 21 years old, residing in Ho Nai ward - the suspect responsible for the crime in Bui Chu hamlet, Binh Minh commune, which left 3 people dead and one seriously injured.

Duc Anh also suffered many injuries and is being treated at a medical facility.

Bringing a knife to your girlfriend's house after breaking up with you

According to initial testimony, Duc Anh had a romantic relationship with a 17-year-old girl, Mr. Dinh Van Rung's daughter. Recently, the girl said they broke up, so Duc Anh had the intention of killing her.

On the morning of September 3, after drinking with a group of friends, Duc Anh brought a knife to the girl's house but the door was locked. He climbed onto the roof and pried open the skylight to try to get in.

At about 1:45 a.m., Mr. Rung was sleeping with his family when he heard a noise, turned on the power to check and discovered Duc Anh holding a knife on the roof, in the skylight area.

Mr. Rung told Duc Anh that his daughter and he had broken up and asked the young man to return. However, Duc Anh continued to pry open the skylight window and announced that he would kill the whole family.

Frightened, Mr. Rung locked the doors and called Binh Minh Commune Police.

Climbed to the next house, attacked 4 people

Unable to enter his girlfriend's house, Duc Anh climbed over the roof of Nguyen Van Quang's house next door, then opened the second floor door and broke in.

Hearing the noise, Mr. Quang went to check and discovered Duc Anh coming down the stairs to the ground floor. According to the suspect's testimony, when he saw the homeowner, he grabbed a knife and attacked.

Mr. Quang ran to the kitchen to get a knife to fight back, but Duc Anh stabbed him and seriously injured him. The victim threw away the knife, opened the door and ran out into the street, but Duc Anh continued to chase and attack until the victim collapsed.

Duc Anh then returned to the house, locked the gate, then rushed into the bedroom, attacking Ms. Ho Thi Mai (36 years old, Mr. Quang's wife), along with her 11-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter.

Ms. Mai died at home. The two children were taken to the emergency room but did not survive. Mr. Quang suffered many injuries and is being treated.

Duc Anh declared that he did not know and had no conflict with Mr. Quang's family.

The suspect was restrained when he opened the gate

After receiving Mr. Rung's report, Binh Minh Commune Police arrived at the scene. When Duc Anh opened the gate, the police controlled and arrested him.

The Criminal Police Department of Dong Nai City Police coordinated with Binh Minh Commune Police, the City Police's Criminal Technical Department, Dong Nai City People's Procuracy and People's Procuracy of Region 3 to examine the scene, the body, and take testimony from witnesses and related people to investigate the case.
