Passenger midibus and car collided in Nurdağı, 7 people died, 13 were injured

A passenger midibus traveling between Hatay and Gaziantep collided with a car near the rural Acaroba District of Nurdağı district. After the accident, the midibus lay on its side and the car turned into scrap.

According to initial findings, 7 people, including 2 children, died in the accident and 13 people were injured.

Many firefighters, police, gendarmerie, AFAD, health and National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) teams were dispatched to the scene.

The teams' work at the scene continues.

Gaziantep Deputy Governor İlker Eker, who came to the scene after the accident, made a statement. Eker said, "It is a very sad accident. According to the initial findings, 7 of our citizens lost their lives and 13 of our citizens were injured. None of the injured are in a serious condition. The accident occurred as a result of the car overtaking incorrectly. Those who lost their lives are 7 people in total, including 2 children and 5 adults. All of those who lost their lives are in the car. The identification process of the deceased is continuing." he said.
