Olivier Faure criticizes the centrist turn of Hollande and Glucksmann

It leans in all directions. The leader of the socialists Olivier Faure, candidate for the presidential election via a primary from the social-democratic space, criticized François Hollande and Raphaël Glucksmann on Sunday for “turning towards the center-right”. Even if he claims to “understand that they are looking for a new majority”, he assures that this “will not allow a left-wing program and ecological transformation”, he declared on BFMTV. All while at the same time, the candidate declared that Jean-Luc Mélenchon was a “competitor” but not an “enemy”, specifying however: “I do not believe that he can win the presidential election”.

Convergence and possible support for LFI

Olivier Faure also underlined the convergences in Parliament between the elected Insoumis, socialists, ecologists and communists and envisaged, in the event of a socialist victory in the presidential election next April and May, support from LFI without participation in the government.
