Murder in Baldissero d'Alba: Roberto Mollo's defense speaks of attempted intrusion

Not a theft of building materials, but an attempt to sneak into the nearby house: for the defense of Roberto Mollo, now accused of the murder of Gjovalin Lazri, this is what would have pushed the thieves to enter the courtyard of the farmhouse in Baldissero d'Alba (Cuneo) last Saturday, where the 35-year-old lorry driver was sleeping alone.

"This is demonstrated by the torches and gloves found at the scene by the police", claims the lawyer Piermario Morra. The block is made up of two connected houses, both owned by the family: one of these is under renovation. An accusation is also pending against Mollo for the attempted murder of the other members of the gang, who disappeared after the shooting.

According to initial reconstructions, the owner of the house shouted from the balcony on the first floor and fired 13 shots with his gun, a 9x21 caliber Steyr inherited from his father.

The defense is not commenting for now on the rumors that have emerged regarding the dynamics: Lazri, a 36-year-old Albanian resident in Turin, would have been hit by two bullets between the neck and the shoulder. The autopsy, which will also be attended by a defense consultant, will be arranged tomorrow. The ballistic exam has not yet been scheduled, which is also scheduled for the next few days.

As a result of these investigations, Mollo, who had already been interviewed in the Sommariva Perno barracks the day after the events, could answer the investigators' questions.

In the current formulation of the charge there are no disputes regarding the possession of the weapon. The gun was legally held, but it remains to be ascertained whether Mollo had already changed residence from his previous home, which is a few hundred meters away.
