Armed attack in the high school garden in Osmaniye: Teacher seriously injured

In the garden of Farabi Anatolian High School in Çardak village of Osmaniye's Central district, teacher M.B. and A.B., with whom there was previous hostility, met. He was attacked with an unlicensed gun. While the teacher was seriously injured, the suspect was caught in a short time.

According to the first statement made by Osmaniye Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti regarding the incident, the seriously injured teacher was treated. The suspect was caught with the gun.

Serdengeçti's statement is as follows:

“On September 28, 2026, in the garden of Farabi Anatolian High School in Osmaniye Central Çardak Village, a person named A.B. shot and seriously injured teacher M.B., with whom there was previous hostility, with an unlicensed gun.

Our injured teacher was referred to the hospital by medical teams and received treatment. As a result of the work carried out by our security units following the incident, the suspect was caught and taken into custody in a short time, along with the gun he was thought to have used in the incident.

The judicial investigation into the incident is being carried out meticulously. "We wish a speedy recovery to our injured teacher."
