Turkish Film Days Started in Uzbekistan

The premiere of Turkish Film Days, organized by the Native Thought Association with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema, was held at the Uzbekistan National Cinema Art Palace with the participation of Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam and Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Cihangir Ahmedov.

Famous actors Engin Altan Düzyatan, Özge Gürel, Serkan Çayoğlu, Deniz Barut and Emre Karayel, who attended the gala, greeted Uzbekistani moviegoers on the red carpet.

Deputy Minister Serdar Çam, in his opening speech, said, "I believe in the unity and solidarity of the two brother states and that they will do good work in the field of cinema in the future." Cihangir Ahmedov also said, "The bond between Uzbekistan and Turkey is not only religion, language and history, but also the continuation of civilization. I believe that the relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey will progress further, especially in the field of cinema." he said.

Cinema General Manager Birol Güven said, "We have brought you very good films in cooperation with the two ministries" and introduced the famous directors and actors who came to Tashkent for the event to the audience in the hall.

Güven said, "We promoted Türkiye with microdramas between commercials and TV series. The promotion of Türkiye is now entrusted to Turkish TV series."

At the opening of Turkish Film Days, the mini series "Whisper of Origins" was screened, bringing Türkiye's cultural and touristic riches to the international audience.

Famous Uzbekistan People's Artist Matyakub Matchanov gave it to director Tunç Davut, and famous Uzbekistan People's Artist Saıda Rametova gave it to director Yüksel Aksu. The sincere conversation between Rahmetova and Aksu on stage received intense applause from the hall.

At the gala night, plaques were presented to the artists participating in the event by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Cihangir Ahmedov, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan Ufuk Ulutaş, General Director of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture Birol Güven and Chairman of the Native Thought Association Metin Gündoğdu.

Film screenings will continue on September 26 with "Like a Cut Tree" directed by Tunç Davut. The production, starring Ali İpin, Feyyaz Duman and Selen Kurtaran, was determined as Türkiye's official candidate in the Best International Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.

The film "Look, the Postman is Coming" directed by Yüksel Aksu, which tells the story of postal officer Osman's struggle to reunite with Gülizar in a small Aegean town in the 1950s and starring Deniz Barut and Ozan Akbaba, will also be screened on September 27.

On September 28, "Are We Happy?", directed by İbrahim Büyükak and Emrah Aguş, starring İbrahim Büyükak and Yasemin Sakallıoğlu in the leading roles. will appear before the audience.

Türkiye Film Days will end on September 29 with "Detective Reptır" directed by Emre Karayel and Leyla Yaman. The animated film brings to the big screen the adventures of Detective Rep. and his team, who pursue clues to shed light on mysterious events.
