Özgür Özel's statement about 'fund' profiteering: The tip of the iceberg

NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel made evaluations about the agenda of his party in general.

Özel responded to the words of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding AKP member Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who was involved in the 'fund' profiteering.

"Believe me, our nation has never seen such brazenness," said Özel, and added the following:

"Our nation is angry at this impudence and bites its finger. Mr. Erdoğan appears in front of the cameras and says, 'They were actually very good, but Fatma Hanım, who grew up under their hands, succumbed to her own desires.' What did he do to obey his desires? It wasn't much, he just stole 367 flats from the people's pockets!

The one who steals a loaf of bread from the bakery will go to jail, the one who steals a tray of baklava according to his desires will go to prison, the one who takes 2 billion 200 million will be 'following his desires'! This is the black order of the AK Party."

Özgür Özel emphasized, "While 27 flats could be purchased with the money Fatma Hanım deposited, 367 flats could be purchased with the money she withdrew 5 months later. This name is just the tip of the iceberg."

Özel said, "Since she was not as skilled as the other members of the cabinet, Fatma Hanım made transactions directly under her own name and her husband's name, and when she first looked at it, she stood out on the list."
