Özgür Özel: The number of members of the NEW Party reached 723 thousand

NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel participated in the primary election of his party's district chairmanship in Gaziemir. Özel said, "As of today, the number of members of the NEW Party has reached 723 thousand. We are organized in 81 of 81 provinces. Our organization has been completed in nearly 900 districts and 870 districts."

Before the 1st Ordinary Congress of the NEW Party, which will be held on 14-15 November, the primary elections for district chairs have started in the NEW Party, whose congress calendar is still ongoing. NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel also made statements by participating in his party's primary election to be held in Gaziemir district of Izmir.

Özel emphasized that September 26 was a very important day for both the NEW Party and Türkiye's political history. Reminding the promise they made to the MPs and citizens during the establishment of the NEW Party, Özel stated that the decision-making mechanism in the party will belong directly to the members.

Özgür Özel noted that the party members came together for the future of Türkiye and said, "We are bound to each other by the law of brotherhood, who think about the future of the country rather than their own future, who do not leave anyone behind, who never surrender, who do not deviate from the goal of power."

"MY CANDIDATE AS GENERAL CHAIRMAN AND MY DISTRICT MAYOR ARE WHOM THE MEMBERS ELECT"

Referring to the election in Gaziemir, Özel stated that Çağrı Şırlancı and Orkun Yılmaz were candidates and said:

"I specifically asked today what the situation is in Gaziemir. They said, 'We have two candidates'. Under normal circumstances, Çağrı and Orkun compete. The lists of both of them are here today. One wins, the other one loses. The other list stays out of the administration. Sometimes, the separation in this election would last for a long time. Today, you will say to one of the two best, two young, dynamic people who can do this job, 'Stay one step ahead of us, be our district president'. But the duty of the winner is to take the arms of the other. "They will sit down on Monday afternoon and talk about 'how we can make' the list that will be presented to the official district congress next week. They will together form the Gaziemir district administration that represents Gaziemir, represents the team of the winner, does not exclude the team of the one who is one step behind, represents all the colors of Gaziemir and will win the next elections and make the NEW Party the government."

Pointing out that there is a single candidate in some regions and multiple candidates in some regions, Özel said, "I am saying here, specifically in Gaziemir, to all the multiple candidates in Türkiye: My candidate as the chairman and my district chairman is whoever the members elect. We are completely impartial. The headquarters does not have a side or a candidate."

"THE NEW PARTY IS THE PARTY OF THOSE WHO NON SURRENDER"

Emphasizing the struggle history of the NEW Party, Özgür Özel said:

"NEW Party is not the result of years of rivalries, debates and divisions, but the NEW Party is the future of Türkiye, of those who did not leave him behind when someone made a coup and put our presidential candidate in prison, who did not leave our mayors alone when operations were carried out, who did not surrender to slanders, who did not remain silent to lies and who never sacrificed their own children to the slanders of the government, who took to the streets when an operation was carried out on the party and its management was changed, when the elected leader was replaced by a nullity administration, those who stood on the roads when an operation was carried out against the party, when the elected leader was replaced by a nullity administration, Gazi Mustafa Kemal "It is the party of those who protect Atatürk's legacy, those who do not surrender to the government, those who resist the tricks of the AK Party, those who stand up and fight. "METHODS OF TRADITIONAL POLITICS WILL CHANGE"

Özel said that the pre-selection method was welcomed by the members and the public and continued his words as follows:

"I asked our candidates who just welcomed me. 'How are you?', 'We are very good,' they said. 'How is this new method?' I said, and they said, 'Members and the public are very pleased, everyone is very excited.' I see this excitement in each of you. I see that this step we have taken will both be an example for Turkish politics for our party and will turn into a gain that neither we nor any political party can return from now on. I hope that our NEW Party will come to power in the first elections. In the NEW Party and in all parties, whoever will be at the head of the party from now on, including the chairman, will be decided by the nation, the people, and the members of that party.

The four letters in the name of the NEW Party mean many things. It represents a brand new page that we want to pave the way for Türkiye. It expresses that the aging language of old politics has been abandoned, outdated methods have been abandoned, and new politics will replace the exhausted old politics. The old politics was not good for workers, retirees, tradesmen, farmers, civil servants, women and young people. Now Türkiye needs a brand new energy. It needs a young politician. This is the responsibility that the nation has placed on us and on our shoulders. The responsibility is not on the shoulders of those sitting in the front row, but from now on, this responsibility falls on the shoulders of everyone in this hall, everyone who is a member of the NEW Party. I am calling out to all of Türkiye from Gaziemir: The era of the old and aged is behind us. New politics is marching to power.

Reminding the seven promises they made to the nation at the Provincial Presidents Meeting and the seven duties entrusted to the organization in this regard, Özel stated that they first implemented the promise of democratic Türkiye within the party. Emphasizing justice and development within the framework of the developed vision, Özgür Özel made the following evaluations:

"Our first promise to the nation was democratic Turkey, and we said that day: 'We will be democratic in substance, not in words. We gave the good news today that we will first experience the democracy we promised Türkiye in our own party. With that happiness, today we are making this great start together in Gaziemir. We promise Türkiye a fair and free country. We promise justice in court, justice in income, justice in taxes, justice in social life. "While we put justice in the courts as one of the four main pillars that will carry this country, we describe income, tax and social justice as the other carrier pillars, as the biggest goal ahead, as the four pillars that will carry the great roof of a strong Türkiye."

Emphasizing that the NEW Party stands by the workers but is not an enemy to capital and business people, Özel noted that they advocate qualified employment and green, purple and digital transformation. Özel stated that they aim for companies to earn more but to share this income equally with a fair tax system, and that they will build a Türkiye with a strong army, economy, justice and passport. Özel also said that with full membership in the European Union, they herald young people a visa-free Europe and a "ban-free" Türkiye.

"WE WILL ESTABLISH A BRAND NEW ORDER FOR OUR PENSIONERS"

Drawing attention to the concept of social state, Özel stated that it will offer basic citizenship income, insurance and retirement rights for housewives, and minimum income security for every citizen. Özel said:

"Yesterday, while retirees were protesting there during the meeting at the Constitutional Court regarding the pay raise that was not given to them years ago, a retired police officer, Ali Şekeroğlu, unfortunately ended his life with his service weapon, which the state entrusted to him for years and protected the lives and property of all of us, saying 'We want our honor, not money'. NEW Party has been talking about retirees in every meeting and rally since the day it was founded and the day we all came to power with a new understanding in the previous party 3 years ago. His fingers are calloused for years, his elbows are He talks about the helpless and left behind retirees whose glasses have become rotten and who are told, 'Don't work anymore, you took care of us until now, we will take care of you from now on'. "I see a huge social explosion and it is necessary to take precautions. Unfortunately, we bury the painful incident that happened yesterday in our hearts and pray to God that it does not happen again, and at the same time we say to this government: This evil, this injustice, this much inequality, this disloyalty is not good for any of these retirees. Eventually, we will destroy the AK Party's black order and establish a brand new order for our retirees."

"THE REAL SURVIVAL PROBLEM IS THE DREAM OF YOUTH ABROAD"

Referring to the survival debates in politics, Özel stated that three out of every four young people in the country want to go abroad and argued that this is the real survival problem. Özel emphasized that they promise an order that will enable young people to dream in their own country.

Reminding that they set limits on the terms of office in the NEW Party, Özel said that term limits will be applied in the positions of parliamentarians and mayors. Stating that the "one-term rule" applies to him, Özel said, "If I do not make the party the ruling party and the first party in any election we enter, I will leave office that day."

SEVEN TASKS ENSURED TO THE ORGANIZATION

Listing the seven basic duties imposed on the party organization, Özel stated that the first task is to show the party's power capacity and readiness to govern the state. Stating that the doors of the NEW Party are open to the nation, Özel continued his words as follows:

"The NEW Party is, of course, the new party of social democrats. It is the new party of Republicans and Ataturkists. It is the new party of everyone with whom we have done politics in the past. However, the NEW Party is the party of conservative democrats, nationalist democrats, Kurdish democrats, socialist democrats, liberal democrats, and all democrats who have no problems with this country, nation, flag and Atatürk. And while keeping the doors open to the nation, it only says 'We invited them to become members, they came'." "We will not say, 'You became a member, you came. This is over.' The first and primary duty of the elected district president and management is to establish neighborhood councils in all neighborhoods."

Özel stated that after the neighborhood assemblies, district assemblies will be established, problems as well as solutions will be discussed, and the prepared government program will be shared with the nation and the march to power will be made. Noting that democracy and humility within the party are essential, Özel also stated that he will stand against district presidents if they use their powers for their personal interests.

At the end of his words, NEW Party Chairman Özsgür Özel stated that the most important duty of the organization is to win and said, "The 7th and most important duty of the NEW Party is to win and forget to lose. I say this from here: New soldiers of the NEW Party, founders of the new Türkiye... Get up and change this government. You are the hope of Türkiye. I trust you, I believe in you," and invited the Gaziemir district presidential candidates to the stage.
