Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif met with Syrian President Shara at the 81st General Assembly of the ABG

In his post on the social media platform of US-based company X, Sharif stated that he met with Syrian President Shara on the margins of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York.

Prime Minister Sharif stated that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations by increasing high-level contacts between the two countries and expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, education and information technologies.

Expressing that Pakistan is ready to contribute to the reconstruction and economic recovery of Syria, Sharif noted that his country's support for Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity continues.

Sharif stated that they also exchanged views on regional developments, especially the current situation in Palestine, during the meeting.
