The Rio Civil Police are investigating a complaint of aggression made by the ex-wife of Felipe Teresa, a Palmeiras under-20 football player. In a video posted on social media, Marcelle Barbosa accused the player of domestic violence.
The case was registered at the Jacarepaguá Women's Assistance Police Station (Deam) and forwarded to the 94th DP (Piraí), which continued the investigation.

The police reported that the victim underwent a forensic examination and the police authority requested urgent protective measures. Agents carry out other measures to investigate the facts.
According to the woman's report, the player kicked her and then punched her in the nose. The episode would have happened on August 15, in the presence of the couple's son, aged 1 year and 8 months.
Marcelle said that the discussion occurred during a van trip between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, after a disagreement over the player going to a dance with friends in Complexo do Alemão.
According to her, while stopping at a gas station, she got angry and, as a result, threw away an outfit that Felipe was going to wear at the event. After the action, the two began to argue and the player became extremely aggressive, according to the complaint.
The woman reported having used an umbrella to defend herself and said that a local employee had to intervene.
According to the report, the athlete kicked her in the leg and, in a new argument inside the van, after she slapped the player in the face, she received a punch in the nose, which caused bleeding. Marcelle asked for protective measures.
What the player says
Through a note, Felipe Teresa informed that he is fully aware of the recently disclosed facts and that he is already adopting, through his lawyers, all applicable legal measures to properly investigate the events and protect his rights.
With regard to the alleged aggression mentioned in his ex's publications, the player revealed that the facts will be duly discussed, clarified and proven in court, within the appropriate scope and in compliance with the adversary system and broad defense.
Felipe also clarifies that he never abandoned his son, repudiating any statement that might suggest otherwise.
Considering that the situation involves a minor and out of respect for their intimacy, privacy and best interests, Felipe Teresa stated that he will not make any public statement about family circumstances, nor will he present details that could, directly or indirectly, increase the minor's exposure.

After the repercussion of the case, Marcelle also spoke out through an official note. She said that, "on the advice of her legal counsel, she decided to temporarily archive the previously published video."
"The measure was taken exclusively to preserve my rights, avoid any unnecessary exposure and allow the facts to be dealt with appropriately, within the applicable legal measures.
I continue to trust the Court and the guidance of my lawyers. My main objective, at this moment, is to preserve my son and ensure that everything is conducted responsibly and seriously. I thank everyone who showed support, respect and understanding."

On September 13, Marcelle and Felipe Teresa issued a statement together, stating that they both decided to handle the issues in a consensual, reserved manner and seeking a solution for everyone involved, especially to preserve the minor.
The document also states that the recent events occurred in a context of "high emotional charge" and that any facts and responsibilities related to the alleged aggression will be clarified and, if necessary, discussed and proven before the competent authorities, ensuring contradictory and full defense.
